THE NAME OF JESUS AS AN INSTRUMENT

by admin on Jul.26, 2010, under Uncategorized

The scripture makes us understand that “Prayer”, “Making a request” and “Using the name” are three different things. Prayer is asking the father, making a request is different from using the name of Jesus as an instrument. Jesus said “use my name and I’ll see to it that it works”. Use the name as an instrument. A lot of people suffer for nothing, they have these mighty, wonderful instrument and they don’t know how to use it. What ever you demand in that name is assured. The bible says “He gave him a name that is above every other name, that at the NAME of Jesus, every knee should bow, its not a promise, its a sovereign declaration of Almighty God; In other words, its been passed into law in heaven, in earth and beneath the earth. What a NAME! When are you going to use the instrument? If you are using the name because He gave you the power of attorney to use it then why are you looking at your life to know whether or not the name should work? Another beautiful thing is that He didn’t say if you have faith you can use the name of Jesus, it didn’t say we needed any extra faith before we use the name of Jesus; The name of Jesus was given to us as a gift, we don’t need any extra faith to use it, we are at liberty to use the name of Jesus at any aspect of our lives. Use it everyday, its an instrument!

WHY SPEAK IN OTHER TONGUES? Part2

by admin on Jul.23, 2010, under Uncategorized

IT EMBOLDENs You
“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edfieth himself: (1 Corinthinas 14:4).
Remember that one of the meanings of “edifieth” is “embolden,” so “he that speaketh in an unknown tongue emboldens himself.” Speaking in tongues is the solution to tear and timidity. If you ever become timid about anything, speak in tongues. As a Christian, know that God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Activate the power within you by spending time speaking in other tongues: it works!
Sometime in 2001, I preached a message titled “Power For Change,” and in that teaching, I told the congregation never to be afraid. I told them, “You have more power inside you than everyone who’s o the world. So don’t be afraid of kidnappers. If you ever get kidnapped, don’t be afraid of them. Don’t beg. Don’t negotiate. Let them take you. Sit there with them and say, “Let’s go!”
“As they’re taking you away, speak in other tongues. Before long, they’ll be the ones be8ging you. By the time you’re speaking in those tongues, you’re actually saying “I claim these ones for Jesus Christ!” They may tell you, “Shut up or else…!” but don’t respond in English. Reply them in other tongues. As you speak, your angels will take their positions and you will be victorious!” Shortly after I preached this message, a young lady in our church who had heard it was kidnapped. She later testified that as her kidnappers were taking her away, she remembered this message and she just blew up speaking in tongues. They threatened her several times to keep shut or they would kill her, but she said she couldn’t contain herself anymore. She spoke in tongues even louder, and as she did, she became bolder in spite of her desperate situation. The next thing she knew, the kidnappers stopped the car, opened the doors and fled. Glory to God!

WHY SPEAK IN OTHER TONGUES? Part 1

by admin on Jul.19, 2010, under Uncategorized

SPEAKING IN TONGUES BUILDS YOU UP
When you’re born again and filled with the Holy Ghost, the power of God comes to reside in you. This power is triggered off or set in motion when you speak in other tongues.
“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself”(1 Corinthians 14:4). The Greek word translated “edifieth” is “oikodomeo,” which means to construct or build up, to embolden or charge up like you would charge a battery. This Scripture is therefore telling us that the one who speaks in an unknown tongue builds himself up like an edifice: he emboldens himself and charges himself like a batters’. He that speaks in an unknown tongue builds up himself. When you spend time to speak in other tongues, you’re actually building up your spirit man; “but ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”(Jude 1:20).
When you speak in tongues you’re charging yourself in the spirit and stirring up the power of Cod resident within you. Then strength comes and the glory of God is revealed in your life. If you were weak in your Christian life, as you speak in other tongues, the power of God that has laid dormant within you would be stirred up and you’ll be strengthened to do the things of Cod again. Speaking in other tongues, coupled with the confessions of the Word of God, will make you a spiritual giant. As you speak in tongues, you’re building yourself up; you’re recharging yourself like a battery on a charger. When you speak in other tongues, you’re not just mouthing some religious gibberish but declaring mysteries in the spirit. You’re speaking words that will change your whole world!

THE LANGUAGE OF THE RECREATED MAN

by admin on Jul.15, 2010, under Uncategorized

Man is a spirit, but he has a soul and lives in a body. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (NKJV). The human body is actually man’s domicile, his dwelling place. When a person is born again, his spirit is recreated, and that’s why the Bible says if any man be in Christ he’s a new creature, a new type of being that never existed before (2 Corinthians 5:1 7). God, by the Holy Spirit, then gives that recreated human spirit a new language and that language is what the scriptures refer to as tongues of angels” in 1 Corinthians 13:1.
After His resurrection and just before He ‘as received up into Heaven, Jesus gave His disciples a rundown of the characteristic features of the new creatures by which they could be easily identified. He listed to them the many things they will be known for, things they will be able to do in His Name:
“. .These signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover”
(Mark 16:17-18).

A NEW BREED OF PEOPLE A NEW LANGUAGE

by admin on Jul.12, 2010, under Uncategorized

During the years Jesus walked the face of the earth, the Holy Spirit hadn’t yet come to dwell on earth. He came to earth after Jesus was taken up into Heaven following His resurrection. In John 14:16 Jesus promised His disciples that He would ask the Father and He would give them another Comforter — the Holy Spirit — who would abide with them forever.
Acts 2: I-4:
“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they (120 Disciples of Christ) were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound front heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting find there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. “
This was when the Holy Spirit came to the earth and these one hundred and twenty disciples were the first Christians to receive Him and have tongues of fire. The Bible records that “they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4).

GOD WANTS YOU WELL

“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds,
saith the Lord; because they called thee an outcast, saying, this is Zion,
whom no man seeketh after” (Jeremiah 30:17). This is a great message from the
Lord to you; He says, “…. I will give health back to you, and I will heal you of
your wounds …. ” (Jeremiah 30:17 MKJV). This means no matter what the case is,
whether it’s blindness, dumbness, cancer or diabetes, God wants to heal you.
God is telling you it’s time for your healing; He’ll bring health to your body.

A NEW DAY ANEW PEOPLE AND A NEW WAY TO PRAY

by admin on Jun.30, 2010, under Uncategorized

Jesus said in John 16:23, “And in that day, ye shall ask me nothing…” This means “You shall not pray through me or to Me.” I know there are some Bible translations that render this verse as, “you shall not ask many questions,” but that falls shot because it doesn’t fit within the context. They had been asking Jesus a lot of questions. But when you read further, you’ll discover He wasn’t talking about questions, He was talking about prayer.

Here the Lord Jesus lets us know there’s a new kind of prayer for a new kind of people – the New Testament folk! And he tells us, “You’ll not have to pray to me, because whatever you ask the father in my name, He will give it you.”

EXPECT ANSWERS WHEN YOU PRAY

by admin on Jun.22, 2010, under Uncategorized

Some people don’t bother praying, because even when they do, they don’t expect answers. If you don’t have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, that is you’re not born again, you shouldn’t expect answers because He wouldn’t even hear you. However, if you’re God’s child, you have the a right to expect answers when you pray; but to have those answers consistently, you must pray according to God’s Word revealed concerning prayer in the New Testament.
