Jesus is not mediating between us and God

by admin on Jun.17, 2010, under Uncategorized

The book of Hebrews lets us know that Jesus is our great high priest before the father (Hebrews 2:17, 3:1, 8:1, 9:11). He is also our advocate (1 John 2:1). His ministry as our great High Priest and advocate however doesn’t include praying the father for us. I’ve heard a lot of people say Jesus Christ stands in the gap between the Father and us, but what the Bible teaches is that Christ Jesus is the Mediator between God and men, not between God and the Church. So He stands between God and sinners, not between God and His Church.

Don’t Just Say Prayers, Pray from the heart

by admin on Jun.15, 2010, under Uncategorized

At many family alters they come together to ‘say’ their prayers, but in a dispensation of the church where we’ve been born again and filled with the Holy Ghost, we don’t ‘say’ our prayers we pray! God hasn’t called us into religion; Christianity is not one of the religions of the world. Christianity is the pulsating life of the resurrected Christ in the Spirit, soul and body of a human person. It’s the divine life of God imparted into the human spirit here on earth. It’s God’s life at work in a man. The Christian doesn’t look for God because he has already found him.

GOD MAY HAVE SAID IT BUT YOU CAN STILL CHANGE IT

by admin on Jun.10, 2010, under Uncategorized

Through prayers we can prevail on circumstances. God has shown us in His word that we can change anything, including things that were divinely destined to be. This may sound incredible to you but it’s in the Bible! God may have said you’re going to have it one way, but if you discover you don’t want it that way, you can change it, It’s amazing, but true. There are several accounts in the scriptures of men who changed the mind of God from what He had determined to do. One of such accounts is in Exodus 32:7-14 where we read of how Moses stood between God and the children of Israel. God had determined to destroy them for their rebellion and stubbornness and rise a new generation from Moses, but Moses prevailed on God and prevented Him from as He had proposed.

EXPECT ANSWERS WHEN YOU PRAY

by admin on Jun.07, 2010, under Uncategorized

Some people don’t bother praying, because even when they do, they don’t expect answers. If you don’t have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, that is you’re not born again, you shouldn’t expect answers because He wouldn’t even hear you. However, if you’re God’s child, you have the a right to expect answers when you pray; but to have those answers consistently, you must pray according to God’s Word revealed concerning prayer in the New Testament.

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

by admin on Jun.02, 2010, under Uncategorized

Jesus is the man who came to die for us, when the Holy Spirit came upon him He became Jesus the Christ and our savior, and as far as God was concerned He was our representative, He took our place so He could save us. After He was crucified in our place, He died as our savior and was buried. And because He lives in us, when He was crucified we were crucified because we were in him, when he died we died because He was our representative. When God raised him from the dead, we were raised from the dead in the mind of God, because in the mind of God, we were with him when He was crucified. In john 14:2 Jesus said “… I go to prepare a place for you …”, that place is not heaven, because heaven was there all the time. So what place did He prepare for us?

Foreseeing Evil

by admin on May.11, 2010, under Uncategorized

Proverbs 22:3 says “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished”. There’s nothing wrong with getting into trouble, but make sure you come out of it, and fast. We must be trained on dealing with evil, anticipating evil. Can we know that there is danger ahead? Can we sense trouble ahead? Many Christian get into trouble because they’re not trained in the things of the spirit and for these reason, fall into trouble and sometimes don’t find a way out of it. That is why we must be trained on dealing with evil, we need to develop our spirits to recognize when the spirit of God is leading us about something that we ought to be careful about so we can know when there is danger lurking ahead. Anticipating Evil, recognizing the signal of the spirit within you.

Priesthood and Sacrifice

by admin on Apr.12, 2010, under Uncategorized

“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ”.
1Peter 2:5
We have come to Christ and we say we are children of God because that is what the bible says we are and God for this reason, does so many things for us, he blesses us in so many different ways and makes our lives full of testimonies, but then what do we do for the Lord? What is our own responsibility? What does God expect of us? What does God want? Some people think God is there just to answer our prayers; they think that’s what He exists for. God doesn’t exist for us, we exist for God, He doesn’t live for us, we live for him and we need to realize these. If we change our thinking along these lines it will change our attitude, way of life and our expectations. We didn’t make him, He made us, we don’t have plans for him, He has plans for us because He put us here. The question we ought to be asking is why am I here? What is the purpose for my life? What does God want of me? Why where you still born and not die at birth? You have to make up your mind there must be a reason for you being here and if there’s for you being here fulfill it.

THE PERSON OF JESUS

by admin on Apr.08, 2010, under Uncategorized

In the book of Matthew 16, Jesus turned to his disciples and asked (verse13)” … Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” and Simon replied (verse16)” … Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God” and Jesus said unto him (verse17)”Blessed art thou … for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven”. It takes a revelation to know who Jesus really is, It takes the power of the spirit of God to know who Jesus really is. Was He just the son of a carpenter? Was He just a prophet? Was He just a great teacher? Was He just a healer? Who is Jesus to you? It takes a revelation to know Jesus, that was why Jesus knew that Peter couldn’t just figure that out of his head and that it could only be revealed to him by his Father in heaven. To know who Jesus really, is a revelation which is given to us without any material medium but by the spirit of God.

WHY IN THE WORLD DID JESUS COME

by admin on Apr.05, 2010, under Uncategorized

Jesus came into this world to do something special. Not many people knew why Jesus came and  the world is yet to understand why Jesus came. But He came for a reason, a very special reason, a very special purpose. He didn’t come to start a religion. Some think Jesus came to start Christianity, He didn’t come to start Christianity, that’s not what He came to do. He didn’t come to be one of the religious leaders, He didn’t come here as a prophet, He was more than a prophet, He didn’t come because He wanted to die for us, He died for us to achieve the aim of his coming. Broadly we can say He came to save us, but from what? The understanding of his purpose is still unclear to most Christians and the world doesn’t even have an idea. But the scripture stated in John 10:10 saying “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it abundantly”.
